Single Style in Dunedin

As I mentioned in a previous post, Designer, Galina Sobolev, sent me a few of her pieces to "try out, critque and review". In photos above, I wore the black, beaded LBD to an art and wine event in Dunedin, Florida last week. The dress received numerous compliments during the night which was great. However, in my opinion, since the dress has a lining, I think that it will be best suited during the fall season. Style Review: Single at Dunedin Marina

Review: About a month ago, I received the floral, print tunic from Celebrity Designer, Galina Sobolev to wear, review and try out. Initially I was going to wear the tunic as the intended manner with some heels but when I went thru my options I had no trace of  heels that complemented the tunic just right, so I opted to wear the tunic as a blouse with white shorts from A.N.A (JCPenney).

Best Features:
the fabric - extremely soft to the touch
the shoulder & neckline - tunic has an off the shoulder drape
the sleeves  - are cut to a point with open drape

Hopefully, Galina will like how I interpreted her design. For the tunic, I'll be lookng out for a pair of stack heels; a wedge or maybe some 3 inch heels inorder to wear the design as a dress. For more on Galina's designs http://www.singledress.com/ - Best V.

SINGLE: try, test and review their designs!

The world of fashion blogging has evolved so much from the years when I first started to blog in 2007. One of the major changes is the disclosure law regarding gifts we receive as bloggers which is so different from my time  when I worked for magazines.

With magazines there was no paper trail on what we reviewed and  received as critics, but being as it may, I am excited to try my hand at reviewing the designs from Single which I received last week.

When I opened the box from Single I only expected one design to review but as a bonus Celebrity Designer, Galina Sobolev, suprised me and send me added two designs. I'm looking forward to this assignment as I keep in mind what other bloggers like Fashiontoast;   Sea of Shoes;  The Coveted and Bryanboy are doing as it relates to style review posts. Bravo Launch My Line: Galina Sobolev, #5

Designer, Galina Sobolev, Single, is a woman, who knows when it is time to let others establish their own direction. In episode 5 of Bravo's Launch My Line, Sobolev does just that as DJ Eric hits a home run with their winning "wild card design" as seen in image above. This past season, Los Angeles Fashion Week was different from the norm in that the event happened over a period of weeks as oppose to a four or five day period. During that time, Celebrity Designer, Galina Sobolev, who will be featured in the Bravo TV Fashion Competition, “Launch My Line” was seen at the Zac Posen fashon show at Bar Marmont, elegant in one of her designs. Q: How have the sales been for SINGLE, Summer 2009?

A: “Our summer sales have really picked up locally and in Europe. In addition we were featured at both Neiman’s and Lord & Taylor trend events showcasing our hot pink/mango dress”. In my opinion, Designer, Galina Sobolev, has made great use of prints for this season. I can’t wait to slip on one of her sexy, print dresses which were featured in the California Apparel News a few weeks ago.

According to Los Angeles Times, Fashion Critic, Booth Moore, the venue selection was one of Los Angeles' best kept secrets.
